Tiktok News: Reddit CEO says TikTok is Fundamentally Parasitic

Hence during panel discussion of SOCIAL 2030, Reddit CEO and Co-Founder Steve Huffman, says tiktok is a fundamentally parasitic and requested users to uninstall it.

In a event Steve Huffman mentioned: “Maybe I’m going to regret this, but I can’t even get to that level of thinking with them, Because I look at that app as so fundamentally parasitic, that it’s always listening, the fingerprinting technology they use is truly terrifying, and I could not bring myself to install an app like that on my phone.”

“I actively tell people, ‘Don’t install that spyware on your phone,’” he later added.

In response this, a spokesperson of tiktok said “These are baseless accusations made without a shred of evidence”.

Like we said earlier, this is not the first time anyone has criticized tiktok and its security. Recently, there have been many incidents in India about Tiktok. Not only this, this Chinese app was also banned in India and was also removed from the Google Play Store.

Likewise, in 2019 TikTok was accused of exposing children to sexual predators and for promoting pornographic content.
